Trashumantes is a publishing project founded by Camilo Baquero Burgos in 2023, which brings out artbooks in collaboration and participation of migrant communities in Germany. Its aim is the publication and promotion of literature, images, artworks and books produced in migrant contexts, as well as the integration of communities in the process of creation, production and distribution of the publications. In this way, the project strengthens cooperation and solidarity between the various migrant populations active in the artistic and publishing sector in the country.
In addition, Trashumantes offers a full range of editing, proofreading, translation, conceptualization, design, layout, binding and printing services, as well as consulting and workshops related to the development of books, fanzines and publishing projects.
To date, Trashumantes has published four books (“Freiheitsgedanken”, “Handbook for Dismantling Memory, “The Memory of the Warps” and “Desintegradxs”) as well as two fanzines (“Visitar la ciudad de mis padres” and “Ya se petateó!”. We are also currently working on our first non-participatory poetry publication (“Animal herido”) , as well as on collaborations with artists and institutions to continue producing workshops and collaborative publications.
