The Gabo Foundation is an organization created by Nobel Prize laureate Gabriel García Márquez dedicated to the promotion and training of good journalism in Ibero-America.
Over the years, the foundation has created dozens of programs for education, dissemination and recognition of journalistic work. For this reason, the foundation needed a platform capable of organizing all these programs under the same visual system. With the idea of words as the axis of the journalistic exercise, I decided to create a flexible visual system that would organize the information through words and orthotypographic signs. In this sense, the system and the words are revealed in parts according to the communication needs of each design: it unfolds, stretches and is finally modified according to the branch of the institution that is generating the communication.
The design was made with the Buendía font, created by Colombian typographer César Puertas as a tribute to García Márquez.
