Bacatá is a compilation of 17 bilingual (Spanish-French) stories written by students of the “Languages” undergraduate program at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de Colombia during creative writing workshops taught by Julie Imbert.

Together with artist Inti Guevara, we designed a book with a fold-out map of Bogota as its cover, along with illustrations related to each text and a glossary that helps to understand the meaning of some of the Bogota slang or traditional words used in the stories.

In this way, the book can be read with the help of the map, proposing an alternative reading practice that invites the reader to explore the city symbolically and literarily.
